Nov. 3 was AJ's birthday!

It was a good day. I'd been excited for it all week because we were going to get to see all my family and AJ's dad flew up Friday afternoon (his mom is on the east coast visiting family). So after work Friday AJ picked his dad up at the airport and then we met at my grandparent's house for the party. AJ wanted mashed potatoes, peas, and grillers for his bithday dinner. And he wanted this cake that his mom always made for him, so my grandma made it for him.

He got a bunch of cool gifts, like tools, which he's really excited about. boys and their toys. I'll post some pictures below so you can see.

Oh, it's been pouring down raining like cats and dogs and Gordon (my father-in-law) brought all his waterproof gear in case we wanted to go hiking. Well, AJ and I don't have waterproof gear, but we went out in the rain anyway. We drove to Squak Mountain to hike, but just as we pulled in, I saw a huge tree crack in half and fall to the ground! I couldn't believe I actually saw that!! We were a little nervous about hiking in all those trees after seeing that tree fall, so we drove back to a trail to walk on it instead.

It was lots of fun...AJ and I were TOTALLY drenched and we were jumping in BIG PUDDLES and Gordon even jumped in them too! It was cool and so much fun and I felt so rejuvenated. Then we came home and showered to get all warm. We have wet clothes hanging everywhere to dry now.

Then we went to this yummy pizza place at Kent Station called Pizzeria Fondi and the pizza was so yummy! Then we rented Click and headed to bed. Today we just ate waffles and we're dinking around the house till we have to take Gordon to the airport.

He blew out all 25 candles!
