Anniversary Pictures

Pictures from our Ocean Trip

There are 4 bald eagles in this pic.

6 bald eagles in this one

Our trip was great. It was sunny with blue skies all day Thursday and Friday, which is really lucky this time of year at the ocean. We went on the beach once and right when we got Liam all bundled up, he fell asleep in AJ's arms! We ate breakfast in the lodge one morning and that was yummy. Otherwise we just stayed in the cabin playing games, reading, and playing with Liam It's always so much fun and relaxing and I never want to leave and come back to the busy-ness of life.

On the drive back we were going to check out Lake Quinault Lodge, but went on the North road instead of the South Road by mistake. We were really glad we did though because we saw a deer and tons of bald eagles. They would fly down and make sounds and it was really beautiful- all mossy in the forest with snow on the foothills of the Olympics, and Liam slept through it all- of course.

It's our 3rd Anniversary today!

Three years ago we had a beautiful early evening wedding with an elegant Christmas theme. I married my college sweetheart and promised my life to him that day. Today, three years later, we are happily married with a beautiful baby boy and I couldn't ask for anything more. I have been truly blessed by this man and am so glad that God brought him to me eight years ago.

Today we're driving to the place of our honeymoon, which was also where my parents went for their honeymoon as well. It's called Kalaloch and it's one of the places where I have some of the most and best memories of. This is my family's summer camping place every year and now for the last three years it has been the cozy, romantic place for AJ and I. We use this trip to have fun, play games, watch the stormy weather, go over our individual and family goals for the future, re-get to know each other, and just totally enjoy each other. This year we get to bring Liam with us and we're so excited for him to see the ocean for his first time. Even though it's going to be cold and stormy, our bluff cabin will have an amazing view of the ocean and all it's beauty for us to admire and share with Liam. This is one of the places in my life that I will always cherish and look back on with a smile on my face. It is a place that reminds me of family, contentment, rainy days, happiness, and God's amazing love for me. This is my home away from home.

Here are some pictures from the past years of trips to Kalaloch:

Happy Sabbath

We got our tree on Friday! I was so excited and liam had just woken up, so he wasn't all too happy because he hadn't been fed yet. So we picked out our tree pretty quickly and while AJ cut it down I went to the van to feed liam. Here are some pictures from our trip:
