Liam's First Solid Food!

I broke down on Wednesday and asked AJ if we could give liam some solid food for the first time that night. He's been wanting to for the last month, but I was trying to hold out till liam was six months. He got his first taste of real food at five and a half months...not too far from six months.

Matt and Emily came over and each of them recorded it with a camcorder while I took pictures and AJ fed liam. AJ was pretty excited to be the first one to feed him real food since he hasn't gotten to feed liam at all so far.

We gave him organic whole grain rice cereal and I think that liam liked getting to eat food, but I don't think he's very fond of the rice cereal itself. He ate it all up, but he does this shudder/body shake thing, which you can see in the video clip. It's pretty funny. I tried the rice cereal and I don't blame him though. So in a couple days we're going to make him either avocado or sweet potato baby food. Hopefully he'll like that better.
